Zach is a trusted leader with more than 15 years of experience supporting the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). He has played a central role in shaping and managing DOE’s Better Buildings & Better Plants Initiative, which helps organizations across sectors overcome barriers to greater energy efficiency and supports industry-led innovation to develop and de-risk technologies. As founder of Fidelium Consulting, Zach oversees the full contractor support team for the Better Buildings & Better Plants Initiative—coordinating the work of more than 50 professionals across multiple partner organizations. Under his leadership, the team delivers strategic, analytical, and technical assistance that helps DOE partners achieve measurable progress toward their goals. Known for his steady, collaborative approach, Zach works on a daily basis to earn the respect of his clients and colleagues. His experience spans account management, program design, operations, and stakeholder engagement, all grounded in a commitment to advancing practical, results-oriented solutions that make a lasting impact. Zach holds an MPP from the University of Southern California and a BA from the University of Michigan.

Marcel brings over 20 years of leadership experience in operations, project management, and organizational strategy. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Marcel has successfully partnered with local, state, and federal governments, as well as nonprofit and private-sector organizations, to deliver impactful, sustainable solutions across diverse sectors. He has led major initiatives including the overhaul of vendor evaluation processes, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in security, legal, product, and operations. Marcel has also directed formal assessments of compliance programs and overseen resource planning and workload management for business technology operations teams, ensuring operational efficiency and strategic alignment. Marcel has vast experience bridging operations between multiple organizations to deliver complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives that drive measurable impact and lasting improvement. His career is defined by a commitment to improving organizational performance, optimizing processes, and driving innovation through collaborative leadership. Marcel holds an MPP from the University of Southern California and a BA from the University of California-Los Angeles.

Brooke supports the U.S. Department of Energy’s Better Buildings & Better Plants Initiative. In this role, she works closely with the program’s leadership team to coordinate cross-program efforts and advance strategic goals. Brooke brings a deep commitment to developing practical, results-driven solutions to environmental and organizational challenges, drawing on years of federal experience at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). At the EPA, she served as a Special Advisor for Implementation, helping to advance priority initiatives across the agency. Prior to joining the EPA, Brooke served as the FBI’s Sustainability Program Manager where she led key programs related to high performance buildings, reliability, and solid waste and recycling. Brooke holds an MA in Environmental Resource Policy from the George Washington University and a BA in Environmental Studies and Urban and Community Studies from the University of Connecticut.

Lindsey supports a range of programmatic, administrative, and technical tasks for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Better Buildings & Better Plants Initiative. She is passionate about advancing energy solutions and helping organizations improve performance and reliability. Prior to joining Fidelium Consulting, Lindsey graduated from the University of Maryland (UMD) with a BS in Environmental Science and Policy and a BA in Economics. While at UMD, she gained experience in environmental policy and advocacy through internships with the U.S. House of Representatives Select Committee on the Climate Crisis and Save Barnegat Bay.

Matt has a 10-year background in complex projects ranging from architectural fabrication to deploying and managing international IIoT deployments. He thrives at the intersection of hardware, software, people, and havoc. At Fidelium, Matt designs frictionless digital ecosystems that connect platforms and people with insights from their data. His focus is supporting the Better Buildings & Better Plants Initiative’s market transformation efforts by solving real workflow problems with elegant architecture, feature development & integration, and process automation. Prior to joining Fidelium, Matt was a Solution Development Engineer & Deployment Director at Shoof Technologies. Matt holds a B.S. in Sustainability Management from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
